We went to see a musical there. It has good acoustics and is a nice place to see live theatre. It was comfortable and cool when the sun went down.Full review by laurar705

We are going tomorrow night (Saturday). I have read that the crowds can be awful. Would it be better to go later, like 9/9:30? Wondering if the parking and/or crowd will be better. Thank you...

While in line we heard about the lines on the weekend and that people avoid weekends at all cost. We went on a Wednesday night and we parked a long way away from the entrance. We got there about 6:30 and we didn't see our first pumpkin until about 7:57. I hope this helps you and enjoy the pumpkins.

It generally takes an hour to go through. Keep in mind that you will need to figure another hour or so with parking, buying tickets and perhaps standing in line waiting to get in. Friday and Saturday are busy days so it is wise to get there early. It will a longer wait on those days.
If I'm going to Iroquois Park for an event, would it be better to stay in a hotel by the airport or downtown? Any recommendations?

It would depend on how large the event you are going to is. If there are a lot of people leaving at the same time you are and most of them flew in, the traffic may be heavier heading out and to the airport. If it is attended by a lot of locals, it could be the other way. The one thing you should remember about Louisville is that there are quite a few one-way streets and you should plan any driving around the traffic and traffic pattern. I agree with Jill J though, it is very easy to get almost anywhere in Louisville, you just need to pay attention to peak traffic times.
