State and local law enforcement across five states will be targeting speeders as part of a special effort to save lives.

Georgia will be launching its annual campaign to reduce speeding and aggressive driving. The state will be joined by Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Florida's "Operation Southern Slow Down" runs July 14-19, targeting speeding and aggressive driving. The multi-state initiative involves increased law enforcement presence and public safety messaging.
