Rockets guard Fred VanVleet will transition into this role with guidance from CJ McCollum, who completes a 4-year term as President (2021-25).

The NBA players have a new union president. At the annual summer meeting of the Board of Player Representatives, Fred VanVleet was elected President of the National Basketball Players Association. VanVleet succeeds former Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum who finished a four-year term in that office.
