ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford is closed the week of July 14-20 while crews work to restore the park. The water park has been closed since July 11 after storms rolled through the Rockford region. Leaders with Six Flags have not shared what was damaged or how much was damaged by the storms.
Six Flags' decision to sunset Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor, located in Bowie, Maryland, was a "difficult, but necessary one," according to the CEO. The company also announced a planned 2027 closure of it's Santa Clara, California park.
