An Alabama family was offered free doughnuts for a year in honor of their baby being born in a Krispy Kreme parking lot amid a rare snowstorm.

As the South grappled with an unprecedented snowstorm, Sha’nya Bennett gave birth to a baby boy on Jan. 22 in the parking lot of a Krispy Kreme in Dothan, Alabama. According to WTVY, the area was hit with five inches of snow — a far cry from the flurries it’s used to — a

“Krispy Kreme is sweetening the family’s a-glaze-ing celebration by throwing Dallas a birthday party every year until he’s all grown up! ” a spokesperson for the company said in a statement to People on Saturday. Dallas’ birth certificate is also believed to be the first to name Krispy Kreme as “place of birth,” per People.
