Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill has formally ordered “a full review of security plans” in place in New Orleans for the recent New Year’s holiday and Sugar Bowl college football

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation will conduct a review of security plans New Orleans had in place ahead of New Year’s Eve and the Sugar Bowl, following a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street that claimed 14 lives and injured 37.

Murrill said she directed the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation to conduct a “full review” of security plans for New Year’s Eve and the Sugar Bowl.

More details about the scope of the review will come on Monday, according to Attorney General Liz Murrill, who said NOPD Chief Anne Kirkpatrick has pledged cooperation.
