Pelicans first-round draft pick Jeremiah Fears apparently isn't afraid of saying how he wants his career to go.

NBA Summer League slate features Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the New Orleans Pelicans and rookie Jeremiah Fears.

Peavy (ankle) will not play in Saturday's Summer League game against the Lakers, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Peavy's ankle injury is not believed to be serious, but he is being held out Saturday and was seen in street clothes. His next chance to take the court will come Tuesday against the Trail Blazers.

Kendrick Perkins is known to be a little over the top when it comes to telling stories or giving takes, be he doesn't talk about his New Orleans Pelicans days very often. He signed with the Pelicans for the 2015-16 season for what turned out to be his last full season in the NBA, averaging 2.5 PPG and 3.5 RPG in 37 games.
