"The Flash Flood Watch will expire for a portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Adams, Lancaster and York. The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood Watch will expire at 11 p.m. this evening," according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS has issued a Flood Watch for parts of Pennsylvania due to heavy rain forecasts, with potential flooding and thunderstorms expected throughout the week.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Flood warnings continue in some areas Thursday after another round of severe weather moved through the region on Wednesday night, triggering heavy rain and flash flooding. Some drivers had to be rescued from the floodwaters.
A flood watch has been issued for counties in southcentral Pennsylvania, including Lebanon and York, according to the National Weather Service. The flood watch will be in effect from 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 through the evening hours.
Forecasters said excessive runoff could lead to flooding in rivers, creeks, streams and other flood-prone areas. Parts of southern Lehigh and Northampton counties, as well as all of Bucks County, are at a slight risk of excessive rainfall. The remainder of the Lehigh Valley is under a slight risk.
