Julie C. Dao’s fantasy book series “ Rise of the Empress ” will come to life on the small screen, as Amazon Prime Video has ordered a series adaptation.

Five months after the world failed My Lady Jane, Amazon has ordered another adaptation of a YA fantasy book series. On Wednesday, Prime Video announced a series order for Rise of the Empress, based on Julia C. Dao’s duology of the same name.
