The ICC has fined Pakistan players 25 percent of their match fee and also docked the team five World Test Championship points for maintaining a slow over-rate against South Africa in the second test at Newlands.

Pakistan's cricket team has been fined 25% of their match fees while five points have been deducted in the ICC World Test Championship following a slow over-rate during the Cape Town Test against South Africa.

Pakistan put up a spirited fight in the second Test against South Africa after being asked to follow on in Cape Town. The Men in Green lost the second game as their meagre target of 58 was easily chased down by the Proteas.

Pakistan lost the match by 10 wickets after South Africa enforced the follow-on on the visiting side and bundled them for 478 in their second innings. The Proteas successfully chased a 58-run target without losing a wicket on Monday.

They have now lost a total of 13 points during the 2023-25 cycle, putting them in danger of a bottom-place finish
