EssentiallySports on MSNAngel Reese Declares Bold Locker Room Message After Chicago Sky’s 7th WNBA WinThe double-double queen was back at it. The post Angel Reese Declares Bold Locker Room Message After Chicago Sky’s 7th WNBA Win appeared first on EssentiallySports.
Angel Reese, the star forward in her second WNBA season with the Chicago Sky, struggled with her shooting last season. But lately, she has shown some increased marksmanship, which has made her a significantly better player.
The Chicago Sky beat the Minnesota Lynx over the weekend, 87-81. The team celebrated after the fact. Angel Reese was one player vocal on social media after the surprise win. She had Courtney Williams in her crosshairs when crafting her victory message.
The Chicago Sky retired Allie Quigley's jersey during a halftime ceremony on Wednesday. Quigley was the first in franchise history.
Atkins capped off the game with 27 points, three rebounds and one assist. "27-PIECE FOR DOUBLE A TODAY," posted the official social media account of the Chicago Sky. Heading into the matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, Ariel Atkins was averaging 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
An unbalanced slate, early tipoffs and repeated matchups have coaches frustrated. Meanwhile, the Sky are managing Angel Reese’s minutes as she takes on a bigger role.
