Boulder City voters approved that measure 60-40. Scrann denied the anti-SLAPP motion on Jan. 24, but in the same order, instructed Boulder City to prove it wasn't attempting to silence the defendants.

A Clark County District Court judge has ruled that a lawsuit filed by Boulder City Police Chief Thomas Finn against a retired police sergeant was unlawful, and Finn must pay costs for the defense.

Conger is scheduled to appear April 19 in Boulder City Justice Court. An unnamed spokesperson for the district attorney’s office said in an email that no one was available to discuss the case.

With the Boulder DA’s Office unopposed, a court has vacated Michael Clark’s murder conviction of fatally shooting a Boulder city employee in 1994.
