Camp Barkeley Dog Park moved from its old location near the Abilene Zoo in Nelson Park to behind the newly-opened Pet Adoption and Resource Center.

Abilene's Camp Barkeley Dog Park is reopening to the public and their pups. To celebrate, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at Camp Barkeley, 610 E.S. 11th St., at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Camp Barkeley is almost ready for reopening. The dog park was originally located near the Abilene Zoo in 2010 but was moved to a new location earlier this year due to construction in Nelson Park.
