Duke freshman Cooper Flagg appeared to injure his left ankle after slipping under the basket and was helped to the locker room by two teammates late in the first half. He did not return.

Unfortunately, Duke saw forward Maliq Brown and star freshman Cooper Flagg leave the game with injuries. Brown re-injured his shoulder and was even seen stretchered out of the arena. Flagg suffered a scary-looking ankle injury, although the freshman was able to return to the bench with his teammates for the remainder of the game.
