SIG has been a part of HIDTA since 2020. In addition to the sheriff’s office, SIG partners include federal law enforcement agencies and Lake County police departments.

A multijurisdictional agency, the Lake County HIDTA has a $3 million annual budget to stop the distribution of cocaine and other illicit drugs that fuel much of the violent crime in Northwest Indiana.
