Representatives with CVG Airport and the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to WLWT that one of their air traffic control towers was temporarily out of operation on Sunday morning.

The nation's air traffic control towers need over 4,000 more fully trained controllers to meet the union goal. The FAA hired 1,811 in fiscal year 2024, according to an FAA spokesperson.
