“All culverts are in immediate need of repair, which includes new linings, headwalls and concrete reinforcements,” CDOT stated in the release.

Two culverts that carry the Novi-Lyon drain and run under 11 Mile road will be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert. Other changes include: • improvements to the sanitary sewer.

The existing culvert is a 48” corrugated metal pipe (CMP) with concrete headwalls. The new culvert will be a 60” concrete pipe. The project will not require new right-of-way.
