A pedestrian bridge was supposed to bring a safe way to cross Route 15 in Haymarket after two students were killed. Now it's unclear if that project will happen.

Marin Lacson, a student at Barrington High School, was walking to school on Jan. 25, 2024, when she was hit by a Metra train at the crossing on Main Street.

The idea for a pedestrian bridge became a county priority after two middle school students were killed crossing the street in 2021 during separate collisions.
