Students received gifts from Eat. Learn. Play.’s partners, including a $200,000 gift from Safeway Foundation for 1,000 Oakland families needing Safeway gift cards for this holiday season.

Eat. Learn. Play., co-founded by Stephen and Ayesha Curry, announced on Thursday it wants to provide 10,000 tutoring spots for Oakland elementary school students who are behind in reading.

Stephen Curry hosts a private dinner at Cole’s Chop House in downtown Napa on July 25 to benefit his nonprofit Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.
