G eneral Motors on Friday announced they are recalling over 62,000 Chevy trucks due to an issue with brake pressure that can cause fires, according to a memo sent to the National Highway Traffic ...

General Motors wrote in a memo on June 25 that the brake pressure switch in the impacted vehicles may short and cause a fire.

The potential number of units affected is around 62,468, according to the regulator. NHTSA said dealers will replace the brake pressure switch wire harness at no charge.

"The brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause a short circuit," the memo said.
