Boeing Airplanes drew a giant 787 across the United States overnight on Wednesday in an apparent attempt to show off the aircraft's long-haul capabilities.

Pilots aboard a Boeing aircraft spent their 18-hour flight test drawing the outline of the plane in the sky.

An airplane has managed to log a rather unusual flight path during its round trip across the US - and created what appears to be a massive outline of itself in the process.
