Two girls from a softball team suffered minor injuries when a built-in barbecue pit exploded as they were roasting marshmallows Wednesday night in the backyard of their coach’s Campbell home.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Three girls were burned when a small alcohol fueled fire being used to cook marshmallows spilled over, according to the Cheektowaga Police Department.
