Rodriguez-Padron was caught in the act Friday morning by a Grand Island police investigator, who arrested the 32-year-old Grand Island man.

A 49-year-old Lincoln man who robbed a Git N' Split on Aug. 23, hitting the clerk on the back of the head and demanding she open the register, got 10 to 16 years in prison Thursday.

The Interstate Holiday Inn and the Git ’N Split convenience store at 3320 Langenheder Drive became the most recent businesses to be robbed by a man carrying a gun early Tuesday morning.

The former Git N Split at 345 West O St. is now a Bosselman Pump & Pantry.
