Researchers at UC Riverside captured footage off the coast of Santa Barbara that's believed to be the first of a newborn great white shark in the wild.

These images reveal a white shark with a pale film covering its body observed 0.4 kilometers off the coast of Carpinteria, California. The authors of a new study believe it's a newborn great white.
