Travelers trying to bring the product, called Kinder Surprise on Ferrero’s website, into the U.S. have been stopped and thousands of the treats have been confiscated since the ban went into effect.

In 2018, Ferrero launched the Kinder Joy egg in the US – a product it had previously created for ‘warm weather markets’ that found Kinder Surprise eggs would melt quickly.
