Lexus added its UX small crossover vehicle to its lineup five years ago, with gasoline-only (UX 200) and gasoline-electric hybrid (UX 250h) versions offered.

That's changed for 2025, with the UX gaining more power by way of the Toyota Prius. While it's still hybrid only, the 2025 Lexus UX gets a new hybrid powertrain lifted from directly from the Prius.

The Lexus UX200 and hybrid UX250h are smaller and nimbler than other subcompact luxury crossovers, but they're also plagued by myriad compromises.

Lexus is updating the UX, its subcompact crossover, for 2025 with a new hybrid powertrain. The 2025 UX300h produces 196 horsepower and can be had with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Of those, 6,884 units were specified with the hybrid powertrain. Lexus discontinued non-hybrid trims for the 2023 model year, leaving the 2024 model to soldier on exclusively as the UX 250h.
