A portion of the Denver air route traffic control center experienced a 90-second loss of communications late Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

In a statement, the FAA said the Denver Air Rout Traffic Control Center lost communication with pilots for about 90 seconds on Monday at about 1:50 p.m. Transmitters that cover the airspace went down but air traffic controllers were able to use another frequency to relay instructions to pilots, the FAA said.
