APPLETON - The nonprofit Atlas Science Center announced Friday it will close, permanently. In a public announcement, Lance Alft, the board director, attributed the closure to rising operational costs.

Atlas Holdings is selling Iconex Paper to Domtar Corp, the private equity firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut, is expected to announce Monday afternoon.
