Dallas Mavericks fans have directed their ire at general manager Nico Harrison since the trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. A pair of fans who were recently thrown out of a game for chanting "Fire Nico" got free courtside seats from minority owner Mark Cuban.

The fan said he didn't believe he broke any rules and was voicing his opinion before Cuban stood up and yelled at him to sit down.

Enough fans were ejected that it warranted an article on ESPN where Tim MacMahon confirmed that two fans were thrown out after minority owner Mark Cuban yelled at them to "Shut the f--- up and sit the f--- down!" One of the fans involved was wearing a t-shirt featuring owner Miram Adelson wearing a clown nose. He confirmed the story on X.

A perfect example was on display during the Mavericks' recent game against the Sacramento Kings, where the organization ejected one fan who apparently chanted 'Fire Nico' chant. The incident took place when the Mavs were shooting free throws during a crucial moment of the game.

The jaw-dropping Luka Doncic trade cemented the reality, if it wasn’t already clear, that Mark Cuban has no influence on the Mavericks’ basketball operations.
