The Alliance of American Football, a new league whose inaugural season kicks off in February 2019, unveiled Memphis' nickname and logo Thursday.

The Pyramid was also home to Memphis Pharaohs of the Arena Football League for a couple of seasons in the mid 1990s. It also hosted some huge boxing matches too.
