The changes were revealed during a D23 event in August. Upcoming “Monsters, Inc.” elements will include a suspended-vehicle roller coaster that goes through the 2001 film’s laugh factory.

Disney-Pixar's Monsters, Inc. 3D opens on December 19. The 3D version of the 2001 film has been completely re-rendered in higher definition.

Next year, Pixar lovers will have an opportunity to return to the world of Monstropolis when Monsters At Work, the sequel series to Monsters Inc, hits Disney+ in the spring of 2021.
