The Charlotte Hornets are one of nine teams that ESPN insiders Brian Windhorst and Tim Bontemps believe are tanking right now. Whether intentional or not, they're going to be in the lottery and could have a very high pick in next year's draft.

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball made franchise history in Friday’s 145-134 win against the San Antonio Spurs. While some question Ball’s long-term future with the Hornets, LaMelo’s impressive performance against the Spurs is one of his best in the 2024-25 regular season.

According to NBA insiders Tim Bontemps and Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Charlotte Hornets have no interest in trading point guard LaMelo Ball. Ball will make $37,958,760 next season.
