Nintendo is releasing a special edition 3DS XL for Disney Magical Castle along with the already-announced pink 2DS. This one will be white with gold accents.

Three years in, the Nintendo 3DS handheld has become a seriously good game device -- especially for fans of Nintendo's classic gaming franchises -- and the XL is the one you should buy.

Nintendo announced it will begin selling a new version of its 3DS handheld game machine. The 3DS XL will feature screens that are 90 percent larger than the original 3DS screens.

While Nintendo touts 90 percent larger screens on the 3DS XL, the device itself isn't actually much bigger than its predecessor at 134 x 74 x 21mm (5.2 x 2.9 x .82 inches).
