KEY LARGO, Fla. — A small plane crashed on a golf course Friday afternoon in the Florida Keys. The plane crash occurred shortly before 12:45 p.m. at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.

The sheriff's office says at 12:43 p.m. it received a call about a small plane that crashed on the golf course at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene.

Ocean Reef's golf course is part of an exclusive gated community in the Keys. It's located on the eastern end of the Florida Keys and is about 50 miles south of Miami.
