COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will host its spring game on April 12. Details about the event, which is being labeled as a spring showcase, will be released in the future. Spring practice will begin on March 17 for coach Ryan Day’s Buckeyes and will last four weeks, ending with the showcase.

Ohio State will have a condensed spring practice following its extended title run. It will begin March 17 and end April 12 with a "Spring Showcase."

Ohio State football is promoting assistant Keenan Bailey to co-offensive coordinator, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Bailey will continue to coach tight ends. He’ll also work closely with recently-promoted offensive coordinator Brian Hartline and newly-hired offensive line coach/run-game coordinator Tyler Bowen.

Fresh off a national championship, Ohio State football and Ryan Day have agreed to a seven-year contract extension.

Day will earn $12.5 million in annual compensation, making him college football’s second-highest-paid coach behind Georgia’s Kirby Smart.
