The Sisters of Cascia have recently donated a small pillow, dubbed the “Pillow of Tranquility,” taken from the glass sarcophagus in which St. Rita's incorrupt body rested from 1935 to 1947.
Rita turned her attention to good works and rekindled the hope of finally realizing her dream of entering the Augustinian Convent of St. Mary of Magdalene in Cascia. She was rejected three times.
