Toy Story Midway Mania in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure will get a 70th anniversary ride overlay starting on May 16 when the year-long party kicks off.

Midway Games near California Screamin’ rollercoaster have shut down to clear space for the under-construction Toy Story Mania! ride, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.

The ride overlay tied to the park’s 70th anniversary celebration fulfills the digital promise of the shoot ‘em up dark ride at Disney California Adventure.
