Nintendo store coming to Union Square
Nintendo has announced an opening date for its new store in San Francisco. The Union Square location will welcome gamers on May 15. KRON4’s Rob Nesbitt has more on where exactly the store will be located.
Nintendo to join wave of popular stores opening soon in San Francisco's Union Square
The Kyoto-headquartered company currently has four other stores, three of which are in Japan (Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo), with one other U.S. flagship store in New York City’s Rockefeller Square, which has been open since 2005. It also has merchandise for sale at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando.
SF Nintendo store announces opening date for awaited Union Square location
The opening date for the long-anticipated Nintendo San Francisco has been announced. The store, which will be located in SF’s struggling Union Square neighborhood, was announced last year with an opening date slated for some time in 2025.

SAN FRANCISCO - Nintendo, the video game franchise that brought you Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon and so many others, announced the opening date for its San Francisco Union Square store. On Thursday, the company said it will start bringing a unique shopping experience to customers in the iconic Union Square area on May 15.
