Tombstone has the greatest Western cast of all time—end of story. However, this 2024 Western starring Kevin Costner came very, very close.

The film, partially shot in its titular locale, was a smash hit — and the town too tough to die is ready to welcome the stars and fans of the film to celebrate its 30th birthday.

Tombstone changes a few of the details regarding what happened to Wyatt Earp, his surviving brothers, and Doc Holliday, but the alterations are arguably necessary for dramatic effect.

The 1993 "Tombstone" was directed by George P. Cosmatos and starred Kurt Russell, Sam Elliott, Powers Boothe, Bill Paxton and, of course, the late Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.
