A fire at Gabriel House assisted living in Fall River, Massachusetts, resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. City is responding and investigating.

Authorities said at least nine people are dead and dozens injured after a five-alarm fire broke out at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility in Fall River late Sunday night.

River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon will have an update Tuesday on the investigation into the deadly fire at the Gabriel House assisted living home.

A Massachusetts native, Willett spent more than 20 years as a secretary and even worked briefly as a cocktail waitress, her granddaughter said. Her home was always a base for everyone in her family, Mallowes said.
