Chip Gaines is standing on business following backlash over Magnolia Network’s Back to the Frontier, featuring a gay couple. The Fixer Upper alum took to social media to address the criticism the reality series is receiving from some Christian viewers who are anti-same-sex couples.
“Perhaps Chip and Joanna Gaines were never who they sold to the public,” Kira Davis posted on X. “Perhaps the reason Oprah loved them in the first place is because they were more like her than us. Perhaps we’re finding out nothing in mainstream entertainment is real. It’s all product. So are the Gaines’.”
