Bruins coach Joe Sacco said Brad Marchand's absence during Saturday's overtime and shootout periods vs. the Senators was a coach's decision.

After an important 6-3 win over the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins interim coach Joe Sacco sent Brad Marchand and the rest of the locker room a strong statement about helping David Pastrnak.

Marchand was on the bench Saturday as the Bruins finished up a shootout loss in Ottawa. He practiced Sunday and is expected to resume a prominent role Monday against the Sharks.

Things took a turn for the worse Friday with a report talking about locker room tensions. Speaking on the "Jones & Keefe" show, host Rich Keefe reported a supposed feud between Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, claiming Pastrnak told team management he no longer wanted to share the ice with Marchand.
