The Devils might have suffered a serious blow to one of their most important players. Starting goaltender Jacob Markstrom left Wednesday’s game against the Boston Bruins in the second period after a collision at the net.
The former Calgary Flames goalie stayed down and needed assistance getting off the ice, eventually skating on his own. New Jersey head coach Sheldon Keefe said Markström "will miss some time," but he was in good spirits about this possible lower-body injury.
