WESTERLY, R.I. (WJAR) — Renovations are underway at Taylor Swift's mansion in Rhode Island, online records reveal. Permits filed with the town of Westerly show the singer-songwriter's plans for her $17 million home.

In the years since Taylor Swift became a superstar, she has used her wealth to build an impressive real estate portfolio. She owns homes on both coasts and even in Nashville, where her journey began.

The new wing will feature another bedroom and more bathrooms, and the pop star’s existing kitchen also will be getting a makeover, according to a new permit.

According to the permit, issued on Monday, Swift has tasked a contractor with remodeling the home’s kitchen and building new bathrooms as well as a new addition that will be approximately 16 by 24 feet.

The pop star owns two homes in Nashville, a mansion in Rhode Island, an estate in Beverly Hills and practically an entire block in New York City.
