Multiple school districts from around the state have announced early dismissals due to expected storms Tuesday. A First Alert Weather Day has been issued, with the Storm Prediction Center putting central Mississippi under a Level 3/5 risk.

Over much of south, central and west Texas, including Austin and San Antonio and far southeastern New Mexico, there is also an extremely critical risk of wildfires.
