Jazz Chisholm, who publicly stated he would participate if MLB invited him, as accepted the invitation and will compete in the upcoming Home Run Derby.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. isn’t going into the Home Run Derby with any grand expectations or bold predictions. While the Yankees second baseman says he’s “really excited” to be competing in MLB’s annual power exhibition, Chisholm plans to maintain the measured approach at the plate that helped him become an All-Star in the first place.
Since home run tracking data became more accurate with Statcast, however, a different player claims the title of longest home run in the Derby. In 2021, nearly the entire field of Derby hitters took advantage of the Colorado air by hitting titanic shots, the longest of which came from Juan Soto.
Aaron Judge was quite straightforward with his stand on the Home Run Derby event. Just like last year, he has no intention to participate and will not consider it until it is held in Yankee Stadium.
