In terms of ultra-low latency, Apple says that it will be of benefit to those who use their AirPods Max to stream or create music specifically. The announcement news post notes “no response delay” which means there will be no reason to use traditional wired headphones instead of AirPods Max anymore.

When Apple released the second-generation AirPods Max last fall, they came with an odd downgrade from the prior models: a complete lack of wired audio support. Fortunately, it looks like Apple is finally rectifying that omission — and adding proper digital lossless audio support in the process.

Apple finally gave customers a good reason to buy the recently released AirPods Max with a USB-C port, as they will soon support lossless.
