Alonzo Bagley, 43, was fatally shot in Shreveport, La., on Feb. 3 after the police responded to a report of domestic disturbance. A white officer has been charged with negligent homicide.

Bagley's brother Xavier Sudds said, "there was no need for my brother to lose his life over a 9-1-1 call with no threat there." Sudds said the Mayor of Shreveport recently reached out to the family.
