A California man has been arrested for abducting a 10-year-old child he reportedly met on social media apps Roblox and Discord, authorities said Wednesday.

They also found a friend of the girl on Roblox with the username “TheMatt3798.” Deputies say they then learned the account was registered to a Matthew Naval, who lived in Elk Grove.

A 16-year-old girl and her mother in Galveston County whom the lawsuit identifies as Jane and Mary Doe sued Roblox and Discord on May 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
