Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd reports deputies shot Timothy Shultz, who attacked them with shears after an alligator encounter and attempted vehicle break-in.

Florida sheriff's deputies opened fire on Timothy Schulz when he went for the weapons inside their patrol vehicle, a sheriff said.

The fact that he was bitten by an alligator, significantly, and still continued his rampage, is shocking,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
